Art from the beginning of time has been a commentary on its own society, and art today is not different.
My ceramic sculpture is focusing on what is absent from today's society, a sense of self. Society today
has no privacy and no individualism. In the wave of technology for every aspect of life, and a constant sense of connection
in larger quantities, becoming just one instead of one of many is becoming harder and harder. My work focuses on the lack
of self present in everyday life. The shroud form represents the absence of the individual, in daily tasks and social ritual.
My Art Pottery is also a comment on the modern society. In an age when almost anything can be designed
and formed without human hands ever touching it, my pottery is a reaction against the machine of production society. My Art
Pottery is an attempt to show that the touch of the artist is still valued by society.
